Welcome to Paula Davey Art
After a career in investment banking, I decided to follow my passion for creativity and embrace a love for colour and texture. Now most days are spent creating artwork, and painting is my new lifestyle choice. What started as a hobby is now a beautiful obsession.
Diagnosed with glaucoma some years ago, I was determined to nurture my artistic side while my sight allowed me. This personal journey has been supported by the Fight for Sight charity, highlighting the importance of vision as inspiration. Every six minutes, someone in the UK learns they may lose their sight, which makes the vivid hues of nature all the more precious to capture.
My artwork primarily features acrylic paint on canvas, often enhanced with mixed media elements such as pastels, glass beads, and glitter to add tactile depth and sparkle. I welcome commissions and can adapt colours and sizes to suit your preferences. All original canvases are finished with a protective varnish to guard against dust and wear. Prints in various sizes are also available.
